'House of Cards' Season 3 News, Update: The Much Awaited Scene of the Series Is Soon to Be Seen by the Public, Kevin Spacey Takes on the Seat of the Presidency
"House of Cards" finally reached its third season and Frank Underwood takes on the seat of the presidency.
"House of Cards" is a highly acclaimed American political series produced by Netflix. The story revolves around Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), a Democrat from South Carolina, who seeks to achieve the highest possible position in the political hierarchy -- the Presidency.
The filming for the third season has begun and the production called an "open-audition" in Maryland for people who would like to get cameo roles. As reported on Gospel Herald, Maryland Film Office released a posting on their bulletin and they are looking for "extras all types, ages, sizes and ethnicities to be considered for union and non-union extra and day player roles." With the Maryland tax issue resolved, a smoother production process for the sequel can be expected.
Talking about the third season plot, there were ongoing speculations that Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) is not dead yet. If you could recall in the season 2 finale, Rachel Posner (Rachel Brosnahan) killed Chief Doug in the woods and he was shown laying motionless, eyes wide open. Latin Times also clearly pointed out that the show isn't into misleading its viewers with fake deaths of its characters. Still, this remains to be seen.
Of course, new characters will be showing up. As revealed in various sites like E-online and Latintimes, two characters are expected to be part of the line of casts for the sequel-- a smart doctor named Dr. Buzdar and a formidable and refined Russian guy named Anto Ivonovich. Though the latter was a recurring role, they expect to bring an unexpected twist to the show. Speaking of Russia, it is revealed that a major part of the series will be filmed in the Russian Federation.
Lastly, everyone is thrilled to know what kind of story/life will Frank Underwood have now that he already is the President. The much awaited scene of the series is soon to be seen by the public. The show creator Beau Willimon has been very secretive and careful in talking to the media, but he still slipped out some spoilers. It seems that President Frank will now question the purpose of his life after achieving what he wants.
