Kari Jobe Describes Her Wedding to Cody Carnes as "A Taste of Heaven"

Last Friday, worship leader and songwriter Kari Jobe tied the knot with her fellow worship pastor of Gateway Church Cody Carnes. As for Jobe, her wedding showed her a glimpse of what heaven is like.
Writing on her facebook, Jobe explains: "I'm married!!! Yesterday was more than a dream, more than a reality--it was a taste of Heaven. I've decided that God loves weddings. His presence was stronger than I've ever felt in my whole life. I'm so very thankful for those of you that were there with us--we experienced such a sweet time with you. Thank you for always celebrating and supporting what God is doing in my life--and now my husband Cody Carnes. What a day."
The 33 year old testified of this joy that she's dreamed of, but was better than what she imagined. "I've decided that God loves weddings. His presence was stronger than I've ever felt in my whole life," she wrote on Saturday.
"God's timing is perfect, you know, and everyone's walking through things that they're having to trust the Lord for His timing," she said. "My favorite scripture verse is Psalm 27:14, it says: 'Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He will strengthen your heart.' So, I know that He's had me wait. I'm in my 30s right now, you know, He's had me wait because His timing is perfect."
Jobe is the worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. She has previously won two Dove Awards and has been nominated for a Grammy in 2012 for "Where I Find You" as Best Contemporary Christian Album. This year she has just released her live solo worship album "Majestic" that features the single "Forever."
