Southern Gospel Singer Cheryl Jackson Wilds Dies at 53

Southern Gospel singer Cheryl Jackson Wilds, age 53 of Whites Creek, TN, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at her home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN. She was a Southern Gospel singer / songwriter, artist and comedian. She was a tour guide and entertainer at the Fontanel Mansion in Whites Creek, TN.
Wilds has just released her brand new album "Full Circle," late last year. This is what she wrote about the album on Facebook: "My latest CD was finished some time ago (when I still had hair, ha!) Due to many of life's challenges I never did promote the project or even get it manufactured. I have decided it's time! The project is called "Full Circle" and consists of 10 songs that I wrote or co-wrote. The CD includes a song called "Heaven Has a Way" which tells the story of how God saved my birth mother and how I was able to be a part of that through my music... Plus 9 more original songs that allow me to share my testimony of what God has done for me and what He can do for you! You can order the CD by sending $10.00 plus $2.00 shipping to:
Cheryl Jackson Wilds
6810 Old Hickory Blvd.
Whites Creek, TN 37189
Or just email me with your address and I will send you the CD and wait for you to send the $12.00 total after you get it.

I am hoping and praying that this CD blesses folks and that I get to share my heart with these songs that God has given me."
Jackson is survived by her mother: Missie Artrue Jackson of Saint Joseph, TN; husband: Rob Wilds of Whites Creek, TN; two daughters: Tiffany Etienne Turner and husband Micah Turner of Saint Joseph, TN, Sheena Etienne Gentry and husband Dr. Shawn Gentry of Columbia, TN; 8 grandchildren: Elizabeth Turner, Kerri, Will, Virginia and Ella Grace Gentry, Michael Bromley, Haley and Cori Osborne; one sister: Crystal Jackson Santiago and husband Derek Santiago of Madison, AL; one brother: David McIntosh of Lexington, TN; and her birth-father Bill McIntosh of Nashville, TN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gilda's Club Nashville, a cancer support group that assisted Cheryl during her battle with breast cancer. Donations can be made at www.gildasclubnashville.org.
