Joey + Rory Feek Recording a New Hymns Album in the Midst of Joey's Cancer Treatments

Despite Joey Feek having Stage IV cervical cancer, Joey + Rory are not going to let anything stand in the way between them and making music. In between Joey's chemo and radiation treatments, the couple are recording their "dream" album together. They are recording a new album of old hymns.
The duo announced the new project on Friday (Aug. 14) via their Facebook page."... in the studio w[ith] my beautiful bride today, recording a new album of old hymns,"
Rory Feek writes. "It's been a dream of Joey's to do someday. That someday is today."Accompanying the news were photos of Joey Feek in the studio, her black cowgirl boots and the lyrics to the well-loved hymn "Jesus Paid It All."
Joey Feek was diagnosed with Stage IV cervical cancer in June. She underwent a 10-hour surgery at the end of July, at Chicago's Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and has since returned home.
The duo was the third-place finalist on CMT's competition Can You Duet in 2008. That same year, Joey + Rory signed to Sugar Hill/Vanguard Records, releasing their debut album The Life of a Song in late October. This album's lead-off single, "Cheater, Cheater", was a Top 40 hit on the Billboard country charts. Although none of their other singles have made top 40 on that chart, the duo has released six studio albums in total.
