Mark Wagner Releases "Love & Be Loved" This Friday

Mark Wagner is slated to bow Love & Be Loved, his STORYSONG Music solo debut, this Friday. Love & Be Loved also marks the label's first solo artist release following 2013's STORYSONG Volume 1 compilation, and 2015's multi-artist project, OrphanSong. As with previous projects, 100% of sales will benefit STORYSONG, an organization which raises awareness and funds to support orphan education in Africa. Releasing exclusively through digital outlets, Love & Be Loved is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
Merging pop beats with a healthy dose of soul, Wagner-who co-founded and helms STORYSONG Music-infuses his signature lyrical depth into a compelling six-track set produced by Mitch Dane (Jars of Clay, JJ Heller) and mastered by Jars of Clay's Matt Odmark. Love & Be Loved dually showcases Wagner's passion for music and his heartbeat for the least of these.
"This album is about the impact that loving well can have on our friends, families and communities," Wagner shares. "We love because God first loved us, and this Love is our greatest gift. Love & Be Loved is an exploration of many types of love, and it's a tribute to the greatest Love of all: our Creator."
A graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, Wagner has worked extensively with organizations committed to serving young people in developing nations around the world. An acclaimed songwriter and recording artist for more than a decade, his solo releases include Sun's Gonna Rise (2009), Needlove (2012) and New Futures(2015).
STORYSONG Music is a division of STORYSONG, a movement created by Wagner along with Leadership International founder Larry Warren. Committed to inspiring people and bringing peace and reconciliation through the art of storytelling, STORYSONG connects communities and shares the hope of Jesus Christ through the redemptive transformation of lives.
