Chicago Mass Choir Receives Two Dove Award Nominations

The Chicago Mass Choir celebrates their two Dove Award nominations, one in the Traditional Gospel Album of the Year and the other in the Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year categories.
The news comes as the choir returns from their Michigan weekend, visiting Saginaw and worshiping with Bishop J Drew Sheard and Greater Emmanuel Church of God in Christ in Detroit, Michigan. Their latest album, We Give You Praise, continues its climb on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart making it to number 16 this week.
Helmed by award-winning producers Percy Gray, Jr. and Jeral Gray, Sr. We Give You Praise has yielded Chicago Mass Choir's hottest radio single in years. "Thank You Thank You Jesus," featuring legendary soloist Lemmie Battles, is already #16 on Gospel Radio with no signs of slowing down. Additionally, the single has been added to the Apple Music's prestigious Gospel Radio Channel. The high-energy lyric video for "Thank You Thank You Jesus", has already generated more than 120,000 YouTube views of the lyric video and an additional 200,000 views of the audio versions.
In addition to tremendous national exposure, the group recently had several high-profile, home-town opportunities including performing on Chicago's Windy City Live, singing the national anthem for a Chicago Bulls game, and singing at Chicago's Black Women's Expo.
Feranda Williamson, Chicago Mass Choir's president, concludes, "We just celebrated our 25th year in music ministry. Based on the response to We Give You Praise, we're more excited than ever about what the Lord has in store for the next quarter century!"
