Prayers Are Called as Loretta Lynn Missed Labor Day Concert Due to a Fall

Legendary country music singer Loretta Lynn missed her annual Labor Day concert this year. Family members and fans have requested for prayers as the icon singer has uffered a fall earlier in the week, causing her to cancel her appearance.
Rare Country reports that, during the event, Lynn's sister, Crystal Gayle, read a note to fans from Lynn that explained "I injured my chest and can't get a deep enough breath to sing, but I'll update you Monday (Sept. 5) after I see the doctor."
Lynn has not yet shared an update on her condition. In Lynn's place, Gayle and Lynn's twin daughters Peggy and Patsy performed, even breaking out several of Lynn's hits. According to the event calendar on Lynn's website, her next concert is scheduled for Sept. 9.
Last year, Gaither music released a Gospel collection for Lynn. Hymns and Gospel favorites captures the honest, colorful strains that have made Loretta Lynn a household name, trendsetter and recording icon. Then, earlier this year, Lynn released her newest album, Full Circle. The project earned Lynn her highest-ever chart debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 following its release on March 4.
