Tanya Tucker Asks for Prayers After Being Hospitalized

Country music artist Tanya Tucker has asked fans to pray for her. The "Delta Dawn" singer has been hospitalized following an onstage fall and a bout with bronchitis. Tucker's management said they do not expect Tucker to undergo surgery, though her recovery process will be long.
In a statement Wednesday from her management, Tucker said that she was hospitalized in Texas due to a fracture of one of her vertebrae and rib in an injury sustained during a fall while on tour. She's also receiving treatment for bronchitis.
Tucker was scheduled to perform at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Thursday. The injury has led her to postpone the show to Feb. 23. Tickets purchased for Thursday's show will be honored at the Feb. 23 date. Ticket-holders who are unable to attend the rescheduled date can receive a refund by calling 918-384-ROCK or in person at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, 777 W. Cherokee St.
Tucker was also forced to postpone shows at the Emporia Granada Theater in Emporia, Kansas, and at the Choctaw Event Center in Grant, Oklahoma.
"We've been having a blast with the band and fans on the road and I'm so mad this happened," Tucker said in a statement. "I was really looking forward to seeing all the Okies and fans in Kansas this week, but we have to postpone the shows. I'll do my very best to make it up for y'all. Let's hope for no more accidents this year and I look forward to a great 2017."
