Charlie Wilson Scores His First #1 with "I'm Blessed"

Charlie Wilson scores his first #1 record as his "I'm Blessed" makes it to the top on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs chart (dated June 17). The track is from Wilson's album In It to Win It, which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 7 on the chart dated March 11, giving Wilson his fourth top 10.
"I am excited about my new single, 'I'm Blessed,' because it says exactly where I am in my life, blessed to still be making music that people want to hear" states Charlie Wilson. "2016 has been a tough year for so many people around the world and I am proud to release a song that reminds us that we can all find some blessings in our lives. Having T.I. add his flavor to the song and share who he is and how his journey is filled with blessings is an added bonus."
On Hot Gospel Songs,according to Billboard, "Blessed" is fueled by 452,000 U.S. streams in the week ending June 1, according to Nielsen Music, and radio airplay. The song is now being promoted to gospel radio, following a No. 1 reign on the Adult R&B Songs airplay chart; after topping the tally for two weeks in April, it holds in the top 10 at No. 9.
