Anberlin Says Farewell with “Lowborn”

After 12 years and 6 albums, alternative Christian rock band Anberlin will be releasing their farewell album "Lowborn" on July 22. The album will be released by Tooth and Nail Records, the label that first released their debut "Blueprints for a Black Market" in 2003.
Comprising of Stephen Christian (vocals), Joseph Milligan (guitar), Deon Rexroat (bass), Nathan Young (drums), and Christian McAlhaney, Anberlin recorded this album a little differently. They recorded their parts with separate producers they each selected, rather than cut the project as a unit. The drums were recorded with Matt Goldman in Atlanta and later combined with bass and guitar in Lakeland, FL with Copeland's Aaron Marsh. Vocals were recorded with Sprinkle in Franklin, TN.
"Stranger Ways," will be the first single that will precede the album. Of the single, this is what Stephen Christian has to say, " [the song] embodies a lot of what Anberlin will be remembered for; the 80's influence, dark dactylic lyrics, and intriguing melodies and music." The song "is not the embodiment of the record," he continues. "Many people are going to hear this and think the entire record is this somber, but rest assured 'lowborn' is eclectic and chaotic, just like a good Anberlin record should be."
The band members will go their separate ways following a farewell world tour. Additional dates for the U.S. and elsewhere will be announced shortly.
