Aaron Rodgers Rejects Christianity

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has left Christianity. In a recent Danica Patrick podcast interview Rodgers talked about his christian upbringing and how he has subsequently rejected Christianity.
Rodgers confessed: "I don't know how you can believe in a God who wants to condemn most of the planet to a fiery hell," Rodgers continued. "What type of loving, sensitive, omnipresent, omnipotent being wants to condemn his beautiful creation to a fiery hell at the end of all this?"
The star quarterback added that religion can cause a divide. "Religion can be a crutch," Rodgers continued. "It can be something that people have to have to make themselves feel better. Because it's set up binary, it's us and them, saved and unsaved, heaven and hell, it's enlightened and heathen, it's holy and righteous...that makes a lot of people feel better about themselves."
Rodgers did talk also about his Christian upbringing. He spoke about going to church on Sundays as a teenager and being involved in the religious organisation, Young Life.
"Young Life on Monday welcomed everyone, come as you are," Rodgers explained. "Church on Sunday it was like, more, make sure you dress a certain way, don't bring that person, this person's going to get looked at strangely if they show up.
"Again, it's very black and white, binary."
Additionally, Rodgers also spoke of separation among people. "It's set up binary, it's us and them. It's saved and unsaved, it's heaven and hell," he said as he questioned a higher power.
Such a news has brought dismay and disappointment to Rodgers' family members. "They were dismayed," a source recently told People. "The family is very dedicated to their Christian faith."
