'Agents of Shield' Season 2 ABC Release Date 2014 Announced, Casting Updates & More
"Agents of Shield" Season 2 is a few months away from its premiere but now fans have a date to make on their calendar. ABC has announced their Fall 2014 television show schedule and "Agents of Shield" Season 2 will premiere on ABC on Tuesday evening, September 23rd at 9/8c.
Season 2 is believed to consist of 22 episodes, shown in a block of 10 episodes, then breaking for Agent Carter, before airing the remaining 12. No official word on this.
Not too much is known Season 2 but TV Line has reported that the show is casting a "ruggedly handsome, physically fit actor to play a character who can escape any situation, is a bit of a wild card and, though he's mostly interested in personal gain, always ends up doing the right thing."
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" is an American television series created by Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Tancharoen that stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge.
The show is based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), a fictional peacekeeping and spy agency in a world populated with superheroes and numerous supernatural phenomena.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Phil Coulson puts together a small team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to handle strange new cases. Each case will test the team in cooperation and ingenuity as they try to work together in trying to save the world from threatening, supernatural events on Earth.
