Lauren Daigle's Single Turns Gold and Performs with "America’s Got Talent's" Ava Swiss

Two-time Grammy award-winner and multi-Platinum selling artist Lauren Daigle was recently honored with an RIAA Gold plaque for her 2021 hit, "Hold On To Me." The plaque was presented to her at her first of a two-show stint at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheater. Moreover, at the second of her two-night stint, she called up former 'America's Got Talent' contestant Ava Swiss. The two performed Daigle's 2018 track "Remember," a palpable moment that holds special meaning to Swiss, also an Oxford High School shooting survivor. Check out the moment at the link HERE.
"Ava has something so potent to sing for," explained Daigle. "I was so moved by her story... by her bravery, I went backstage earlier and just started bawling (because) I'm so proud of her, and she is so loved. I hope that our donation (to "42 Strong") will make a difference."
Ava's story is well known thanks to her appearance on AGT, on which she revealed that Daigle's "Remember," helped guide her through her experience. Daigle also took the moment, to present Ava with a $25,000 check (donated through Daigle's Price Fund) to benefit "42 Strong," a non-profit organization started by one of the victim's families whose mission it is to "create a better future by helping students develop a greater sense of purpose, community, and resilience." Additionally, Daigle's Price Fund will match that donation, sending another $25,000 to Colorado's Healing Fund - an organization whose mission is to "provide immediate and long-term support to victim's families and survivors" in the aftermath of mass violence. There was not a dry eye in the house, nor on stage when Ava and Lauren embraced.
