Michael Boggs Releases his First Solo Christmas Single "Come You Unfaithful"

Multiple Dove Award-winning singer, songwriter and worship leader Michael Boggs releases his first solo Christmas single, "Come You Unfaithful." Available at digital and streaming outlets everywhere via https://linktr.ee/michaelboggs, the song shares a beloved melody along with newly crafted lyrics that serve as a beautiful reminder that regardless of whether or not we feel faithful, certain or joyful in life, Christ still came for us.
Produced by Scott Williamson (FFH, Lincoln Brewster, Point Of Grace) with a lush, live-recorded string section arranged and directed by Jason Webb (Lauren Daigle, Chris Tomlin, Josh Groban), "Come You Unfaithful" was written by Boggs with up-and-coming recording artist Josh Nichols.
"As a kid, I remember hearing and loving the Christmas carol 'O Come All Ye Faithful,' but at the same time thinking to myself, 'Well, if only the faithful get to come to Jesus, I guess that leaves me out'," shares Boggs. "It wasn't for lack of effort then, and it isn't now either, but most of my life has been filled with moments of trying, failing and then having the grace of Jesus pick me up, dust me off and tell me to try again.
"But then, one day it hit me, it's NOT the message of Jesus that only the faithful get to come to Him," continues Boggs. "The message of Jesus is that everyone gets to come to Him. That's the whole point of Him being born. We needed a Savior, so He came to us."
Taking that revelation into the newly crafted "Come You Unfaithful," Boggs sings verses that invite the unfaithful, anxious and prideful as the chorus shares "Rejoice, He came for you" before leading to the hopeful bridge:
His strength is for the weak
His grace is for the sinner
Who hopes in lesser things
His arms are for the lowly
His blood is for the lost
His mercy's ever-reaching
His love is for us all
"We all get invited. That's the beauty of the Christmas story isn't it? You don't have to clean up before you show up. You can come to Jesus just as you are, because, well, your exactly who he came for," encourages Boggs. "And when we come to Jesus, I think we'll find ourselves in one, big, long line of joyful misfits who found the arrival of Jesus to be the most beautiful thing in the world. And that to me, is Good News. That to me, is Christmas."
