Jason Nelson Celebrates Best First Week Streams of Career

One of Christian music's most incomparable voices, Jason Nelson, has scored his best first-week digital streams tally with the new song, "Yahweh," (Jaelyn / Tyscot / Fair Trade). The worship ballad features the dynamic GRAMMY® Award nominated vocalist, Melvin Crispell III, and has garnered over 146,000 first week digital streams and 346,000 total to date. By contrast, Nelson's 2021smash, "Residue," earned 61,000 first week streams. "Yahweh is a song that speaks to how God created humanity and as a result breathed life into us," Nelson says. "it speaks to the core theme of the entire album, which is revival and life with God. Once everyone is able to hear the full project, they'll understand why Yahweh is a great introduction."
"Yahweh" is the first radio single from Nelson's forthcoming album, You Belong (Jaelyn Song Music / Tyscot/ Fair Trade). The You Belong project was recorded live at World Overcomers Christian Church in Durham, NC last August. The project is his first live recording in six years. Over the last two decades, Nelson's smooth and incomparable tenor has distinguished itself on gospel radio hits such as "Nothing Without You," "Residue," "Shifting the Atmosphere," "I Am," "Forever," and "It's Not Over (When God Is In It)."
