Deitrick Haddon Reimagines A Classic With Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker and John P. Kee

Grammy® Award nominated recording artist/producer, Deitrick Haddon, has released a scorching reboot of his cutting-edge 1999 gem "Chain Breaker" as "Chain Breaker 2.5" (ManHaddon Ministries / Tyscot Records). The new urban groove features an all-star line-up of gospel music legends such as Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker and John P. Kee. Hip Hop producer Zaytoven stops through to play keys and rapper T. Church drops in to spit some verse. Keeping with the cutting-edged sound is the use of AI-generated artwork and other media content that was created by the Louisiana-based graphics designer and videographer, Cameron Theyard

"25 years ago, Chain Breaker was the song that shifted the sound in gospel music, "Haddon says. "And I had to do it again to celebrate 25 years of being in the business. Now we're celebrating the legacy with a reimagined anthem featuring some of my favorite legends. The breaker is back. To my day ones, thank you. You believed in me when I was pushing boundaries and doing something different. This moment is ours. There's no legacy without your love and support."
Over the years, Haddon has placed over two dozen songs on Billboard Magazine's coveted Gospel Airplay chart - including four No. 1 smashes "A Billion People," "Open Door Season," "Here Comes the Joy" and "Never Be the Same." He's also known for the vintage hits "Sinner's Prayer," "Well Done," "Heaven Knows," "A Sinner's Prayer" and "He's Able." The Top Ten cut "Love Him Like I Do" featured Haddon alongside Ruben Studdard and Mary Mary. There have been other classic pairings with electronic king Moby, Usher, Q Parker and Faith Evans.
Haddon has earned 3x Grammy ® Award nominations in the categories of Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album for Lost and Found in 2003, Best Traditional Gospel Album for Deitrick Haddon Presents... Together in Worship in 2008 and Best Gospel Song for Have Your Way in 2014. Aside from multiple Stellar Gospel Music Award wins, Haddon has also earned a Dove Award for Urban Album of the Year for Church on the Moon in 2012. Haddon has also starred in the independent films Blessed and Cursed (2010), A Beautiful Soul (2012), Sins of the Father (2019), and The Fallen(2022).
