Tasha Page-Lockhart Named Honorary Member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.---a historically Black Greek-letter organization founded in 1922 at Butler University in Indiana---has welcomed gospel recording artist Tasha Page-Lockhart as one of its newest honorary members. The announcement was made as part of the unveiling of the "Essence of Sisterhood Honorary Membership Class," which recognizes women who exemplify the sorority's motto: "Greater Service, Greater Progress."
This distinguished class also includes social media influencer Maui Bigelow, Harvard associate professor Dr. Kimberlyn Leary, and WNBA legend and Olympian Sheryl Swoopes.
Tasha Page-Lockhart is best known as the Season 6 winner of BET's Sunday Best, where she captivated audiences nationwide with her powerful voice and heartfelt performances. In 2015, she was named New Artist of the Year at the 30th Annual Stellar Awards, cementing her place as a rising star in gospel music.
She continues to build on that legacy as a featured vocalist on Deitrick Haddon's recent single, "Hold On 2 Your Faith." Her inclusion in this prestigious honorary class is a testament not only to her artistry but to her ongoing commitment to faith, service, and empowerment.
