Matt Maher Releases "Wait (Radio Version)," A Fresh Take on His Worship Anthem

Multi-award-winning worship leader and songwriter Matt Maher unveils the Radio Version of his latest single, "Wait," available everywhere now via Provident Label Group/Sony Music. A reimagined take on the original track released earlier this year, this new version is tailored for Christian radio, emphasizing an urgent yet peaceful call to trust in God's timing.
Originally featured in Maher's ongoing musical series that explores themes of waiting, surrender, and renewal, "Wait (Radio Version)" has already begun gaining momentum on Christian AC and Inspirational formats. The song delivers a timely reminder of the spiritual strength found in seasons of stillness, drawn from Isaiah 40:31 - "Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength."
"This version of 'Wait' is really about making space for the listener to encounter God through the stillness," says Maher. "So many of us are navigating moments of uncertainty or delay. I wanted to offer a song that gives voice to the struggle but also points toward hope."
Co-written with acclaimed songwriters Chris Stevens and Jonathan Smith, "Wait" blends Maher's signature vulnerability with uplifting production. With heartfelt lyrics and a moving melody, the track continues Maher's legacy of crafting songs that serve both the Church and the broader faith community.
Alongside the release, a lyric video for "Wait (Radio Version)" premiered on Maher's official YouTube channel, giving fans a visual entry point into the song's contemplative message.
