"Song For My Children" is a deeply personal and hopeful letter to the next generation. Through vivid imagery and uplifting melodies, DiMarco invites listeners to cherish life's precious moments and to plant seeds of love and purpose-even if they won't witness the full bloom of their efforts.
"I wrote the song right when we moved after living somewhere for 15 years," says DiMarco. "People have a tendency to pour everything they have into a place, into community, into people when they believe nothing's going to change and they'll be there forever. When we settled into our new house, I sat down at the piano and thought: What would I want to tell my kids about the transitions that life often brings? I'd want to tell them: Plant your trees anyway. Grow your flowers like you'll stay-because the ones before you did the same, and they knew that to everything there's a season, and our days on earth are few. So, plant the seeds in your pockets, even if they're not for you."
