Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 2 Release Date, Reveals, Spoilers: What to Expect in the Next Installment of the Series
Brooklyn Nine Nine was winning awards even before it gathered a proper fan base. Fox placed a thirteen episode order and then changed it to a full 22 episode order (this must have been after seeing the pilot) the show was given a prime slot and has not disappointed Fox in any way since. The show follows the detectives in the 99th Brooklyn precinct (and the Chief's extremely weird, lazy and sarcastic secretary) as they solve cases in a way that is overly hilarious. The show got a nod from GLAAD for featuring an openly gay character in a position of power and even won a GLAAD award. The show did so well that it was renewed for a second season which is set to premier on September 28th 2014.
That's right! There's barely a month left to the season 2 premier. The 22 minute show features admirable dynamic within the precinct and amazing comedic timing. So we are looking forward to the return of Jake along with his crippling debt and weirdly effective detective skills, captain Holt with his lack of emotion and his obsession with ties, Santiago and her very weird need to work, Detective Boyle the lovable magoo-esq foodie, detective Rosa with her anger management issues, detective Terry with his massive build and love for his family and Gina with her caustic sarcasm. Season 1 ended with Jake admitting he had feelings for Santiago and being enlisted by the FBI for an investigation. We have no idea what to expect in season 2 but if season 1 is anything to go by we will not be disappointed.
So who are we expecting? Fox has never been shy when it comes to guest stars and in season 2 we hear the very talented Eva Longoria will be making an appearance. This time she shall not be playing a rich housewife with a juicy secret but a defense attorney opposite detective Jake. Rumor has it she will catch Jakes eye so we don't know what will happen to the budding romance between Jake and Santiago. The best thing about all these questions is, we won't have to wait too long to find out about the new season.
