Annabelle Movie News, Trailer, Release Date, and Updates 

Annabelle is an upcoming supernatural horror film loosely based on a real doll that is suspected to be possessed by an evil entity. The film will serve as a prequel/spin-off to the 2013 film, The Conjuring.

The film will be about a couple expecting their first child. The husband, John Form, brings home a gift for his expecting wife, a harmless doll. One night however, they became a target of a group of cultists who invades their home. They conjured an evil entity that now has possessed the doll only known as Annabelle. Now, John and Mia will have to find a way to destroy the evil inside the doll, seeking professional help from a priests and some paranormal experts.

The real-life Annabelle doll is currently in the possession of Lorraine Warren, played by Vera Farmiga in The Conjuring, and can be found at the Warren occult Museum in Moodus, Connecticut. The doll is on display inside a glass case. Visitors have professed that the doll has been seen to move from time to time, and they've also heard growling coming from the doll. The museum is open to all, but is warned not to disturb the doll inside its glass case.

The film stars Annabelle Wallis as Mia Form, Ward Horton as John Form, the expecting couple. While Alfre Woodard, Eric Ladin, Brian Howe, and Tony Amendola will appear as well as supporting actors. The film is produced by The Conjuring director James Wan, and is directed by John R. Leonetti.

The film is slated to premiere on October 3, 2014.
