A New Princess, New Villains, Awkward Wife and Mistress Moments, Plus The Black Plague Hits France on Reign Season 2 

Looks like things won't be smooth sailing for King Francis and Queen Mary of France as something big (and when we say big it's both figurative and literal) heads their way on Reign season 2.

In the last season of Reign, we witnessed Francis riding out to a plague-infested kingdom, with Mary locking him out, as he went to visit his newborn bastard child through Lola. Just not a great way to start Reign season 2, right? Adelaide Kane, who plays Queen Mary in Reign, shares during Comic-Con that a lot of things will be in store for King Francis and Queen Mary. Kae also adds that there would be more new faces this upcoming Reign season 2 including new villains. It would seem that her words were downright subtle Reign season 2 spoilers!

Reign season 2 spoilers aside, Rose Williams will be joining the cast as Princess Claude. She is the daughter of Catherine de Medici and the late King Henry which makes her the sister of King Francis. However don't let those pretty looks fool you as she seems to be the type who will not give our royal couple an easy time. According to CW's description of her, she will be the type of girl who sees other women as competition and takes delight in making their lives a hard one.

It would seem that things don't end there just yet for the royal couple as the Black Death is sure to make Mary test her true power as the Queen of France in Reign season 2.

To date there has been no Reign season 2 episode guide released yet.

Reign season 2 episode one will premier on October 2.
