Thor 3 News, Reveals and Reviews: 3rd Movie may Show the Possible Doom of Thor while Saving the Both Worlds
It seems that the release date for the third installment of Thor is yet to be confirmed though the rumors suggest that it is going to be slated for sometime in May 2017. As such, the title of the third installment is Thor 3: Ragnarok which in itself is a hint as to what to expect for this installment. According to a recent interview Chris Hemsworth did with Screenrant, he said, "I think that in the comic book the sort of end of days, Armageddon aspect is probably the direction in which it will all head in." Ragnarok here is taken to mean the apocalypse from the Asgardian perspective.
In the second installment of Thor, the movie concluded with Loki still alive unbeknownst to everyone else on the throne. So we might see a storyline which focuses on his vengeance upon Asgard which imprisoned him in the first place. According to the latest rumors, we might be seeing a new and darker face of Marvel Studios which includes the fight between Thor and Loki who has aligned himself with the fire God, Sutur. In this theory, he battles both of them and his hammer, Mjolnir is destroyed in the process.
Thor is left with no choice but to brutally kill his brother by ripping his head off. At the same time, Thor dooms himself because he sacrifices himself for the sake of both his world and earth, by literally ripping the fabric of time. For the first time, we may also see the inclusion of other avengers in the third installment like Tony Stark as Iron Man which could possibly his last appearance as Iron Man. In this theory Iron Man creates a version of cyborg version of Thor which fills in for the real version, when Thor is out and about saving the other nine realms. Some of the cast who will obviously be there for the third installment include: Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Stellan Skarsgård as well as Idris Elba.
