Downton Abbey Season 5 Release Date and Other Latest News Plus Spoilers: US Fans Will Have to Wait Longer for the Downton Abbey Premiere

The fierce Dowager Countess is finally making a comeback to TV with the upcoming Downton Abbey Season 5 and she is bringing her fierceness with her. The show had just released its latest trailer containing some bits of Downton Abbey Season 5 spoilers and other interesting information to keep fans looking for more.

The first trailer may have a more serious, a bit darker tone as it hinted on scandals and love affairs, but the second one, this time provides some sort of a comic relief. The short clip features a light conversation between Lady Violet (played by Maggie Smith) and Penelope Wilton's Isobel Crawley, where they talk about Isobel's relationship with a man-whom we are now assuming here to be Lord Merton. There is a brief commentary about men in general and what not.

The recent Downton Abbey Season 5 trailer sure made fans a lot more excited, itching now for the latest season of this hit TV series. However, it seems that American fans would have to wait for a little bit longer. British fans are expecting an early release which will be around September this year. The US, however, will not be seeing any of of the show on PBS until 2015.
