'Destiny' PC Release Date: Why We Do Not have a PC Version Today
It has been customary that when new games are released, they are usually available in almost all gaming consoles like Playstation 4 and 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, as well as PC. This is why so many gamers were a bit disappointed with the release of the game "Destiny" last week. This is because the game was not made available in PC.
It appears that this is no mere mishap committed by Bungie and Activision, the creators of the game. During the release of the game last week, there really was no news of a PC version. This means that if you are a PC gamer, you just have to purchase a console version if you want to experience "Destiny."
However, you should not be so disappointed. Activision is actually toying with the idea of releasing a PC version of the game. According to Activision President and CEO Erik Hirshberg, creating a PC game is totally different from building a console based one. Therefore, they wanted to take their time to give this whole thing a good look and that should they produce a PC version, it would be of the highest quality.
This is understandable given the fact that "Destiny" was said to have a $500 million budget. That is is the largest budget for a game ever . Therefore, the creators needed to make sure there are no lapses in the game and that its performance will meet expectations.
Although its not definite yet, it is enough comfort that a PC version is not actually out of the picture. What is clear right now is that these companies are willing to work on the PC version of the game.
If you are a PC gamer who really hoped for a PC version and got disappointed, just keep your hopes high. Who knows, an official word could soon come out about a "Destiny" PC release. The good thing is that, it could potentially be better than its available console versions.
