The Vampire Diaries Season 6 CW: Bloodthirsty News, Plot, Cast, Release Updates; Bonnie and Damon Returns?

The CW Network has decided to keep the drama series for a sixth season last February 13, 2014.

The Vampire Diaries is an hour-long American supernatural drama series, which chronicles a high school girl who is torn between her two vampire brothers.

Brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore both have normal lives while concealing their true identity as vampires. The two became bloodthirsty supernatural back in Virginia town. Stefan is principled and is the opposite of his brother Damon, who is evil in nature. Later on, Elena, a schoolgirl whose friend is a sorceress, captures Stefan's heart.

The main cast of The Vampire Diaries Season 6 stars Nina Dobrev as Elena Gilbert, Paul Wesley as Stefan Salvatore, Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore, Steven McQueen as Jeremy Gilbert, Kat Graham as Bonnie Bennett, Candice Accola as Caroline Forbes, Zach Roerig as Matt Donovan, Michael Trevino as Tyler Lockwood, Matthew Davis as Alaric Saltzman, and Michael Malarkey as Enzo.

Aside from The Vampire Diaries TV Series, Nina Dobrev's other recent projects are The Originals, Robot Chicken,Let's Be Cops, and The Final Girls (in 2015). Wesley's other recent projects are Sam and Amira and Before I Disappear. Somerhalder's other project this year is The Anomaly.

As for the guest cast, Gabrielle Walsh plays Sarah, Colin Ferguson as Tripp, and Emily Chang as Ivy.

The first three episodes of the supernatural drama series are set to be piloted by Jeffrey Hunt, Pascal Verschooris, and Michael Allowitz. The series is written and executive produced by Julie Plec, along with Caroline Dries and Brian Young also serving as writers.

Executive Producer Julie Plec revealed that the premiere episode title for the new season will be I Remember. Plec also announced the return of Bonnie and Damon in season 6.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 is scheduled to premiere in television on the second day of October this year, on CW network.
