'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Release Date: Last Avengers Team Up?
Marvel Studios' biggest cinematic universe tie-up movie, Avengers, will be followed by an even bigger sequel titled "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and is slated for release this coming May 1, 2015.
Noted in IB Times the movie was praised by Robert Downey Jr, who plays the role of Iron Man, and says that the Avengers sequel will be the best movie by Marvel. Before his latest announcement, Downey also applauded the Guardians of the Galaxy movie as the best Marvel movie.
The previous Avengers movie made over $600 million domestically and an outstanding $1.5 million worldwide.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will revolve around the battle between the Avengers and the new villain, Ultron, A peacekeeping program that will be awakened by Tony Stark. Ultron become self-aware and wants to kill the Avengers. Captain America, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow will be back to try and stop the evil Ultron.
The cast will include Robert Downey Jr. returns as Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as the asgardian Thor, Chris Evans as the super soldier Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as the raging The Hulk, Jeremy Renner as the deadly accurate Hawkeye, and Scarlett Johansson as the super spy Black Widow. Samuel L. Jackson will be returning as the former director of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division or S.H.I.E.L.D. Along with Cobie Smulders, who plays Agent Maria Hill.
Ultron will be played by James Spader. New cast members to star in the Avengers sequel includes Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro Maximoff, and Paul Bettany as Vision.
Even without the movie or even the trailer out yet, fans are already speculating about the movie's end credits scenes. Rumors indicate that the extra scenes may introduce two additional superheroes of the Marvel Universe: Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange.
Others have also speculated that Black Panther, another Marvel superhero, will be joining the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" roster of heroes as said in IB Times. Vibranium, which comprises Captain America's shield, is only found in a far flung town where the ruler is Black Panther. The movie was reportedly shot in South Africa and this increases the likelihood of Black Panther's appearance in the upcoming movie.
