Terri McConnell Garners First Stellar Award Nomination For Traditional Female Artist Of The Year

The music ministry of Oklahoma native Terri McConnell will encourage your heart and lift your spirit with the joy-felt message of God's love. She is a gifted songstress whose warm smile expresses her dedication and determination to spreading the Gospel to the world. Terri has completed two European tours, won two Rhythm of Gospel Music Awards, won a Voices of Gospel Music Award, and had multiple top 50 Billboard Gospel radio singles. She has another career milestone to celebrate - her first Stellar Gospel Music Award nomination for Traditional Female Artist of the Year.
"I'm grateful and feel extremely humbled to be nominated for the Traditional Female Artist of the Year," Terri states. "Saying thank you seems small compared to the gratefulness I feel in my heart. I'm grateful to Mr. Don Jackson and the Stellar Awards committee for recognizing our hard work. It's an honor to be among the great female artists in this category."
With a career spanning nearly three decades, Terri has appeared on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel Show, Singsation, and The Word Network. Ebony Magazine named Terri and her first nationally released album, HE WORKED IT OUT, one of the new and hottest in black music. Additionally, she has served as a Minister of Music and Praise and Worship leader for her local church and ministries. Her 2025 Stellar Award nomination for her single and EP GET ME THROUGH THIS, which is voted on by Gospel music executives, artists, and media professionals who are members of the prestigious Stellar Awards Gospel Music Academy, serves as a symbol of her hard work and resilience in the music industry.
"It's been twenty-five years since I started this journey, and I'm at a loss for words," says Terri. "I'm forever grateful to everyone who has supported my music through the years, to the radio personalities who have played my record(s), and to every person who voted for me."
Terri's utmost focus will always be that God receives all of the honor from what He has called and blessed her to do through music. Awards and career accolades can be a revered component of one's career, but for Terri, her desire and efforts to uphold a standard of living that is pleasing and acceptable to God while singing praises and lifting her voice to His Glory are most important.
